Designed by the team of architects at AVA Architects, The Sunrise House offers a living space in harmony with nature, connecting people with light and fresh air. Every corner of the house is expanded, with greenery placed throughout and natural light maximized, creating an ideal and relaxing living environment.

The homeowner is a Hanoian who rewarded himself after years of living and working in Da Nang. Located on a 243m² plot nestled along the curve of Da Nang Bay, The Sunrise House takes full advantage of this prime location, where one can fully enjoy the sunrise over the bay without obstruction from surrounding buildings.

Greenery at the entrance

With the desire to bring nature into the home, the team at AVA Architects designed an open space that creates a direct connection between people and their surroundings. The main areas of the house all face the sea, opening up a relaxing view for the homeowner. Flexible glass doors allow for optional opening and closing, ensuring the space is always filled with natural light and sea breeze, while maintaining ventilation and comfort—especially during the rainy season when the sea breeze intensifies.

One major challenge the architects faced was that the plot had only one main frontage, similar to typical tube houses in Vietnam. However, the AVA Architects team thoroughly analyzed climatic factors and the characteristics of the plot, offering creative solutions to optimize light, wind, and living space. The ground-floor living areas and garden were elevated by one level, freeing up the view from the inside and creating an open feel instead of being blocked by rigid walls like many townhouses.

The living room and outdoor living area are placed at the front of the house, allowing the owner to fully enjoy the surrounding landscape. Skylights and greenery are cleverly arranged in positions that catch cool breezes and light, bringing comfort and harmony with nature. No matter where you stand in the house, you can feel the movement of sunlight throughout the day and the gentle sea breeze.

On the second floor, living spaces are connected by a hallway next to a skylight, where natural light and sea breeze are ever-present, creating an open and vibrant living space. Every step through the corridor is a new experience, with light, wind, and sea air flowing throughout the home.

The Sunrise House

The Sunrise House is not just a home but an ideal living space where people can enjoy a connection with nature and their surroundings, creating a harmonious and inspiring lifestyle.
